In this unit, the students will investigate reptiles. They will discuss the characteristics of reptiles and will complete a worksheet. They will sort pictures of different types of reptiles. The students will then go on an excursion to a reptile park or a zoo where they can observe reptiles. They will use information obtained from the park or zoo and do further research in groups to create fact files for different reptiles. The students will then Design and make a model of a reptile. Finally, the students will investigate the life cycle of a reptile and will use plasticine to create a model representing this life cycle.
