Volume and Capacity 2.4

In this unit, the students will investigate the concept of volume. The students will describe what happens to the water level in a container when different sized objects are placed into the water. They will describe the relationship between the amount of space an object takes up and the rise in water level. The students will sort a number of containers according to their capacity. They will identify containers with a capacity less than 500mL, more than 500mL and more than a litre.
